Jeri Kehn Thompson is an American radio talk show host, columnist for The American Spectator, and political commentator. He is also former political consultant for the Washington, D.C. law firm of Verner Liipfert.
Kehn worked for the Republican Senate Conference and the Republican National Committee. Kehn was also employed with the public relations and lobbying firm Burson-Marsteller.
Kehn has some political involvement and according to news reports, she wielded considerable influence within her husband’s presidential campaign, as a top political adviser. She urged her husband to run, and also recruited some of his staff. He was also responsible for the dismissal of others. Thompson is a board member of Susan B. Anthony List.

The couple first met on July 4, 1996, while both were in the checkout line at a Kroger supermarket. They exchanged vows at First Congregational United Church of Christ in Naperville. That was Kehn’s first marriage and Fred Thompson’s second.

Fred Thompson’s adult sons: Tony and Dan filed a lawsuit against Jeri Thompson alleging that she has influenced their father at the end of his life to make changes in his will and to his beneficiaries. The two brothers suggested that Jeri may have cut them out of Thompson’s estate.
In a joint statement, they said that last-minute legal work drew their concern, and they tried to ask privately for answers but were rebuffed. So they went to court.
The two brothers later drpped the lawsuit saying, “the discovery documents we saw satisfied us that our father’s final wishes were followed, allowing us to dismiss the lawsuit,” the sons’ statement reads. “We’re ready to move forward and are grateful dad finally has a tombstone and are hopeful the executor will now take care of her remaining obligations so we can all move on.” The case was dismissed on March 22 2019 .
