April Ryan (full name – April Danielle Ryan) is an American journalist and author. Ryan has served as a White House correspondent and is the Washington, D.C., bureau chief for American Urban Radio Networks.

Ryan attended Morgan State University in Baltimore, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism.

She began her career as a reporter for a local radio station in Baltimore. Before joining AURN in 1997 as a White House correspondent.
