Basil John Biography
Basil John is a multi-talented individual. Who has made a name for himself as an award-winning news reporter at ABC8 News. Born in the United States. Basil developed an interest in journalism and reporting from a young age. Basil graduated with a degree in Mass Communication from a prestigious university. And started his career as a news reporter at a local news station.
He served as an intern at WVOX 1460 for three months having Person-on-the-street segments on current events and broadcast 5:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. for on-air traffic updates.Basil was also a live reporter at Wolfstock Live for a month at Stony Brook University.
He served as a floor director and reporter for Stony Brook Sportsbresk. Basil assisted with reporting and the floor director for the show to keep everything running smoothly.
He was sports anchor and sport producer for SB News from September 2015 to December 2015. He worked as a Broadcast Marketing Intern for the CBS Corporation in 2016.John contacted Affiliates, fulfilling requests and writing tell lines for CBS Evening News and CBS This Morning.
John was an instructor at The Robert W. Greene Institute for High School Journalists in July 2016 at Stony Brook University. It was a seven-day residential program at Stony Brook University for high school students with a passion for journalism.
