Billy Costa Biography
Billy Costa is a well-known television and radio personality. He began his broadcasting career in the early 1970s, working at several radio stations in the Boston area. In 1980, he landed his first television job as a co-host on “Evening Magazine.” A popular lifestyle show that aired in Boston and other cities around the country.
He grew up in East Cambridge, Massachusetts. He then graduated from Cambridge Rindge and Latin School. Costa attended Merrimack College in Massachusetts on a hockey scholarship where he majored in English.
After he transferred to Emerson College in Boston, Billy found a job as a disc jockey at a local nightclub. He later joined the Emerson radio station, WERS, as a Disc-jockey.
Billy worked at a few other radio stations after graduating from Emerson with a degree in English, , including WBOS. This was before contacting WXKS-FM “Kiss 108” in 1980 for a lifestyle/entertainment news show that he proposed.
