Colin Trevorrow (Colin T. Trevorrow) is an American film director, producer, and screenwriter. Known for his work on blockbuster films such as “Jurassic World” and “Star Wars: Episode IX – The Rise of Skywalker”.

Trevorrow began his career making small. Independent films, including his directorial debut, “Home Base”, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 2002. He then went on to write and direct the comedy-drama “Safety Not Guaranteed” (2012). Which won the Waldo Salt Screenwriting Award at Sundance and was a critical success.

In 2015, Trevorrow directed the highly anticipated blockbuster film “Jurassic World,”. Which grossed over $1.6 billion worldwide and became the fourth highest-grossing film of all time at the time of its release. Trevorrow also co-wrote the screenplay for the film.

Trevorrow’s other directing credits include “The Book of Henry” (2017) and “Jurassic World: Dominion” (2022). He also co-wrote and executive produced the “Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous” animated series on Netflix.

Aside from his work in film, Trevorrow has also been involved in television, serving as an executive producer on the HBO series “The Leftovers” and directing an episode of the first season.

Colin co-wrote and also directed Jurassic World (2015). He also provided his voice for the film’s character of Mr. DNA. Connolly and Colin also co-wrote the screenplay for its sequel, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom which was then released in June 2018 and for which Colin is an executive producer.

Colin Trevorrow Book Of Henry

Colin next directed The Book of Henry after Jurassic World, which was written by Gregg Hurwitz. The Book of Henry was released by Focus Features on June 16, 2017 to generally negative reviews, although colin stood by the film.

It was announced in March 2015 that Colin would be directing the sci-fi thriller film Intelligent Life, which was bought by DreamWorks. He wrote the screenplay with Connolly, while Trevorrow, Frank Marshall, Big Beach, and Spielberg’s Amblin Entertainment were announced as producing the film.

While there has been other production news since, including Ava DuVernay also being attached to direct. As of May 2018, the film has not entered into production.

Colin Trevorrow was initially attached to direct and co-write “Star Wars: Episode IX,” which was planned for release in 2019. However, he departed the project due to creative differences with Lucasfilm, and J.J. Abrams was brought back to take over as director and co-writer.

It was reported that Trevorrow’s script for “Episode IX” was titled “Duel of the Fates” and would have taken the story in a different direction than what was ultimately seen in “The Rise of Skywalker.” Some elements of Trevorrow’s script have since been revealed through leaks and concept art, including the return of the character of Luke Skywalker as a Force ghost, a larger role for Finn, and a different fate for the character of Kylo Ren.

However, it’s important to note that these leaks and concept art may not accurately reflect the final version of Trevor row’s script, as it was never officially released or produced.

It was announced on March 30, 2018 that Colin would be returning to the Jurassic Park franchise to direct Jurassic World 3 (2021).
