Heather Locklear Biography

Heather Locklear (Deen) is an American actress, and producer. Deen’s first major role was the part of Sammy Jo Carrington on Dynasty from 1981 to 1989. The series began her longtime collaboration with producer Aaron Spelling. She also played as Amanda Woodward on Melrose Place ( 1993-1999). For that role, Heather received four consecutive Golden Globe nominations for Best Actress – Television Series Drama.

She also has other notable roles such as Officer Stacy Sheridan on T. J. Hooker (1982–86), and Caitlin Moore on Spin City (1999–2002). For her role in Spin City, she earned a further two Golden Globe nominations for Best Actress – Television Series Musical or Comedy.

She had a recurring role on the TV Land sitcom Hot in Cleveland and also a main role on the TNT drama-comedy television series Franklin & Bash in 2013.

Heather attended UCLA, and pledged Chi Omega and Delta Delta Delta, but she was never initiated into either sorority. She then began modeling and working in commercials for the school store while at UCLA.

She later made her earliest screen appearances in the early 1980s having small roles in episodes of Chips, 240-Robert, and Eight Is Enough, before beginning a long-term collaboration with Aaron Spelling.

Aaron cast her in the role of Sammy Jo Dean during the second season of his TV series Dynasty, and also the following year, he also cast her in the cop show T.J. Hooker with William Shatner. Heather appeared as a series regular on T.J. Hooker, while making semi regular appearances on Dynasty until the mid 1980s. After T.J.

Hooker concluded in 1986, Heather became a full-time cast member on Dynasty until its cancellation in 1989. The entire cast of Dynasty (including Locklear) reconvened for the four-hour miniseries Dynasty: The Reunion in 1991.

Following Dynasty, Heather had a starring role in the movie The Return of Swamp Thing following dynasty, for which she won the satirical Razzie Award for Worst Actress. She then starred in the short-lived sitcom Going Places.

Locklear began playing what was another of her best-known roles, that of Amanda Woodward on Aaron Spelling’s drama series Melrose Place, which was a spin-off of Beverly Hills, 90210 in 1993.

Aaron originally signed Locklear for a limited four-episode run, the first episode aired on January 27, 1993. She became a full-time cast member (though she continued to be billed as “Special Guest Star” in the opening credits) until the series’ cancellation in 1999.

Heather has appeared in eight television productions made by Aaron Spelling , these being Dynasty, T. J. Hooker, Matt Houston, Fantasy Island, The Love Boat, Hotel, Melrose Place, and also the made-for-TV movie Rich Men, Single Women.

After the Melrose Place ended in 1999, she was cast in the sitcom Spin City (initially opposite Michael J. Fox and then later opposite Charlie Sheen). The series then ended in 2002, but Heather earned two Golden Globe Award nominations for Best Actress in a Television Series – Comedy.

Heather Locklear Scrubs

She had a brief recurring role on the sitcom Scrubs in 2002. Locklear starred in a pilot for her own comedy series, Once Around the Park, but this was unsuccessful in 2003. She then appeared in the theatrical film Uptown Girls the same year.

Heather Two And A Half

Locklear made a guest appearance on the sitcom Two and a Half Men, which starred her former Spin City co-star Charlie Sheen in 2004. She also starred in the short-lived television drama series LAX set in the airport of the same name.

Heather was also executive producer on the series, but it was later cancelled after 11 episodes. She appeared in the theatrical film The Perfect Man with Hilary Duff in 2005.

Heather had a brief recurring role on the series Boston Legal, which starred her former T. J. Hooker co-star William Shatner that same year. Heather was also featured in a Biography Channel special.

She starred in another television pilot, Women of a Certain Age, but this was unsuccessful in 2006. Locklear also appeared in the music video for country singer Toby Keith’s single “Crash Here Tonight” that same year.

She made another pilot for ABC in 2007, See Jayne Run. It was about a business woman who juggles a career with single motherhood, but this was also unsuccessful. Locklear guest-starred on the series Hannah Montana and also in the sitcom Rules of Engagement, and was hence placed 25th on TV Guide and Entertainment Weekly’s “100 Greatest TV Icons” list.

Locklear was pulled over and arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence by a California Highway Patrol officer just outside Santa Barbara after she was seen driving erratically in September 2008.

Police had then been tipped off about Heather’s driving by Jill Ishkanian, a former reporter and editor at Us Weekly magazine, who saw her outside a market in Montecito, California.

Jill photographed the incident and then sold the photos to celebrity news website TMZ.com for $27,500, though she then claims it was entirely a chance meeting and denies following Heather or setting her up to obtain photographs. She was formally charged on November 17, 2008, with one misdemeanor count of driving under the influence.
