Mark Becker Biography
Mark Becker was an American photographer. He was previously working for KJRH-TV in Tulsa, Oklahoma and KFRU-AM in Columbia, Missouri.
He studied art at Cooper Union in New York City, where he received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 1970.
Becker began his career in photography in the 1970s, and his work focused on documenting the lives of marginalized communities in New York City, including the homeless and those living in poverty.
His photographs captured the raw and gritty reality of life on the streets, and he often used black and white film to emphasize the stark contrast between light and dark.

NCCJ-Oklahoma recognized Becker with the award for “Best Documentary”, and UPI-Oklahoma awarded him first place in spot news and second place in the documentary category.
