In 2010, Mohamed Hadid developed Le Belvedere, a mansion in Bel Air, Los Angeles, which sold for $50 million. He developed The Crescent Palace, a 48,000-square-foot home on an acre plot next door to the Beverly Hills Hotel, in 2012, which was listed for sale for $58 million.
Hadid received approval for the construction of a mansion in Bel Air, but it was opposed by the Bel Air Homeowners Alliance, chaired by Fred Rosen.
Nancy Walton Laurie, an heir to the Walmart fortune and a Bel Air resident, filed a lawsuit through her company, LW Partnership, against Hadid in January 2015. Laurie accused Hadid of damaging the roots of a eucalyptus tree on her property with a retaining wall he built next to her house.
The Los Angeles city council voted in December 2015 to pursue criminal charges over a claim that Hadid violated local zoning laws. He was accused of building his house contrary to multiple planning orders and making it twice the permitted size.
In July 2017, he was sentenced to 200 hours of community service, summoned to return $14,191 to the City of Los Angeles in damages, and fined $3,000.
He was also given a three-year probation period to ensure the property would comply with existing regulations, or he would face a 180-day jail sentence.
This was after he had pleaded no contest to misdemeanor charges stemming from mansion-construction issues for which he did not receive city approval in May 2017.
Mohamed Hadid Affair with Polish Model Justyna Monde
On November 7, a 25-yyear-old Polish-born aspiring model, Justyna Monde, revealed to Daily MailTV that she had an affair with Mohamed Hadid.
Justyna revealed that their relationship began in September 2014 on Instagram. At the time, she was working and studying commercial real estate in Frankfurt, Germany.
‘We met through Instagram. I texted him “hi,” and then he replied with his numbers. We kept talking for months, getting to know each other quite well. We texted a lot on WhatsApp.
It was a lot of text. At first, we were getting to know each other, then deeper. We talked a lot about art; he paints, and I paint. We like art. It started innocent, but then it became a little bit sexual. We sent photos to each other of what we were doing. Of course, there were some nice, private selfies.
‘I wanted to experience an older man, and of course he was attractive. He was sending text messages, and in one of them, he said, “I would love to eat pierogis off your body.” Sometimes he would ask me to send him some naughty pictures. And, of course, I did. I see nudity as a part of art. He was quite interested. He liked me a lot.’
Justyna said she didn’t know Mohamed was engaged at the time since he never talked about his fiancee.
‘When we were first in contact, I didn’t know that he was engaged or that he had a serious relationship because he never mentioned that. My relationship started on Valentine’s Day, 2015. But we still had contact.’
According to the Daily Mail, they met for the first time in October 2015 in the Polish city of Wroclaw, also known as Breslau, where they stayed at the five-star Sofitel hotel.
‘At this time, I was in a relationship, so I thought it was best to meet up in Poland as part of my family lives there. We met up in Breslau; it’s a small traditional city. We got to know each other in person.
He was on a trip with his business associates and also people from the fashion industry, but he wanted to spend time with me alone. I showed him around. We went to a very traditional Polish restaurant. He ate some Polish dumplings and said it was the cheapest meal he ever had but he really liked it.’
‘We were getting very close to each other; we liked each other. We spent a nice time together. I stayed in a hotel. We went sightseeing; we went for lunch, dinner, everything.’
Justyna said that Shiva kept interrupting them and damned her for being’very controlling’. She also said Mohammed asked her to be his girlfriend, although they were in a relationship. She also said Mohamed revealed that he was unlikely to marry Shiva.
‘Shiva is very controlling and she was calling him so many times but it wasn’t my part to say anything about it because I was in a relationship too… ‘I think Mohamed respects his fiancée, but I don’t think that a relationship that is based on cheating has a final end like marriage.
Don’t think he is going to marry her. ‘I think he would do her a favor not to continue because I’m not sure he’s so in love with her.
I asked, “Why don’t you marry her?” He said, “Yeah, we’re getting along. Yeah, I don’t see her like everybody else does. I think he’s maybe not so sure about her. Maybe she’s not his type. I think he really goes for blondes.’ About their 44-year age gap Justyna said it was a non-issue to her.
‘I think that age is just a number. I have friends that range from 16 to 70. If you click with or get along with somebody in a relationship or as friends, age doesn’t matter for me, as I’m very open-minded. We had a lot of things in common, like art and personalities. I think the best thing about Mohamed is that he’s so funny. He’s the funniest guy I’ve ever met; it makes him the perfect personality.’
Justyna said she later broke up with Hadid in 2017 as she wanted to focus on her studies and her future career in London.
‘I decided to break up with both Mohamed and my ex-boyfriend as I wanted to focus on my studies and my future career in London or New York. I hope to start a new life in an English-speaking country like the UK or US. ‘I started modelling after I finished my studies, but I see myself more as an influencer.
I really love art, and I paint, but I also know that you can earn much more money in real estate. I didn’t want to hurt anybody anymore. I want to have a relationship that is based on trust and being a good person.’
Mohamed Hadid Rape Case
In February 2018, model Miranda Vee filed a police report claiming that she was sexually assaulted by Paul Marciano and Mohamed Hadid.
“[Miranda] filed a police report alleging sexual assault against both Paul Marciano and Mohamed Hadid. We went to the LAPD headquarters in downtown Los Angeles. We sat with two detectives for about two hours.
She answered all of their questions. They asked us not to speak with the press about any of the allegations or the details.” Lisa Bloom, Miranda’s attorney, told Page Six.
Miranda claimed that Mohamed date raped her after inviting her to a professional meeting, but it turned out to be “just me, him, & champagne, where he date raped me in an apartment.”
Mohamed claimed that Vee was lying, that the meeting was consensual, and that Vee’s whole rape case was a way to shake him down for money as Vee was extorting him.
Mohamed later sued Vee for seeking unspecified damages for defamation, civil extortion, and intentional infliction of emotional distress. In September 2018, he filed court documents to drop the case, although without prejudice, meaning he can file again at a later date if he chooses.
He said Vee was dodging the service of the lawsuit and “appears to have decided to recant her false accusations against Mr. Hadid and is now unwilling to move forward with her fake lawsuit, and her counsel, Lisa Bloom, appears to now recognize that her client has no case at all against Mr. Hadid.
Because it is apparent that Miranda Vasquez is a liar and is insolvent, and her allegations are fabricated, there is little point to serving her when she is actively dodging service and her counsel will not accept service on her behalf.”
