Oscar Pistorius is a South African former sprint runner and convicted murderer. He was born on November 22, 1986, in Johannesburg, South Africa. Pistorius was born without fibula bones in both of his legs and had both legs amputated below the knee before his first birthday.

Despite his disability, Pistorius became an accomplished athlete and competed in both the Paralympic Games and the Olympic Games. He was known as the “Blade Runner” because he used carbon-fiber prosthetic blades to run.
