Renee Chenault-Fattah is an American journalist and news anchor who worked for more than 25 years at the NBC10 News station in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Chenault-Fattah began her career in journalism in the early 1980s, and worked as a reporter and anchor for several television stations before joining NBC10 in 1991.

Chenault-Fattah earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Pennsylvania, where she studied communications. She then went on to earn a law degree from the University of Pennsylvania Law School. After practicing law for a brief period of time, she decided to pursue a career in journalism.

She was born in Little Rock, Arkansas in 1957 and later attended Harvard University where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Afro-American Studies in 1979. She began her career in journalism as an intern at WCAU-TV in Philadelphia and worked as a reporter and anchor at several other television stations before joining NBC10 in 1991.

During her time at NBC10, Chenault Fattah co-anchored the station’s evening newscasts and also hosted the public affairs program “NBC10 @Issue.” She received numerous awards for her journalism, including several regional Emmy Awards and the prestigious Edward R. Murrow Award.

In 2016, Chenault Fattah left NBC10 after her husband, Congressman Chaka Fattah, was convicted of federal corruption charges. She has since worked as a communications consultant and serves on several nonprofit boards, including the National Constitution Center and the Philadelphia School Partnership.
