Craig Melvin is an American journalist and news anchor. He works for NBC News and MSNBC as an anchor and NBC News correspondent. He was named a news anchor on NBC’s Today.

Melvin attended Wofford College where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Government. He is also a member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity. And he also served as a senior counselor for South Carolina’s Palmetto Boys State program.

Melvin is an active member in several charities which include Fred’s Team at Sloan Kettering and Big Brothers Big Sisters.

Craig was a weekend anchor for WRC, NBC’s owned-and-operated station in Washington, D.C. He also got known as an evening news anchor at WIS in Columbia. South Carolina, where he was named “Best Anchor” by the South Carolina Broadcaster’s Association and awarded two Emmy Awards.
