Mike Couzens Biography

A popular American sportscaster, Mike Couzens, extensively covers various sports events.

He graduated from Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications with a degree in Broadcast Journalism.

After graduation, Couzens began his career as a sports anchor and reporter at WICZ-TV in Binghamton, New York. He then moved to WSYR-TV in Syracuse, where he worked as a sports anchor and reporter for three years.

In 2007, Couzens joined the Big Ten Network as a play-by-play announcer for college basketball and football games. He also worked as a sideline reporter for college football games on ESPN and ABC.

In 2017, Couzens joined ESPN as a play-by-play announcer for college football, college basketball, and Major League Baseball games. He has also called games for the Women’s College World Series and the Little League World Series.

Couzens has received several awards for his work, including a New York State Broadcasters Association Award and an Associated Press Award.

Couzens is known for his passion for fitness and running off the field. He has completed multiple marathons and half-marathons and often shares his training journey on social media.
