Deborah Norville is an American television anchor, journalist, and businesswoman. She gained fame as an anchor on several television news programs, including “NBC News,” “Inside Edition,” and “CBS News Sunday Morning
Her superiors later promoted her to anchor “NBC News at Sunrise” and “Today” with co-anchor Bryant Gumbel.
However, the network replaced her with Connie Chung just a few weeks into the job, causing controversy and media attention.
In 1995, Norville joined the syndicated news magazine show “Inside Edition” as a correspondent, and the network later promoted her to anchor in 1997.
