Jim Dickey Biography
Jim Dickey (1940-2021) was an American football coach who served as the head coach for the Kansas State Wildcats from 1978 to 1985.
Attended Rice University, where he played football as a quarterback. After graduation, Dickey began his coaching career as an assistant coach at Rice and then at the University of Kansas. He later served as an assistant coach for the Houston Oilers in the NFL and then returned to the college ranks as an assistant at Florida State University.
