Rick earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies from the University of California, Los Angeles. He started working at KTTV Fox 11 in Los Angeles after receiving his degree.
He worked as a sports producer for KTTV for 13 years. For his efforts on “Fox 11 News at Ten,” “Fox 11 Overtime,” and “Fox 11 Extra Innings,” he received five Emmy Awards from that location, as well as two Golden Mic Awards and an Associated Press Award.
