Chris Williamson is an American sports anchor, host, and reporter for SportsNet New York (SNY). He was previously a weekend and weekday sports anchor at WSAW/WZAW-TV in Wausau, Wisconsin.
Williamson aspired to run his own video production company in the future and share riveting and untold stories. Being sa sports junkie, Chris loves to tell stories that transcend sports. He believes sports hold the ability to bring together all different types of people.
While he was in Upstate New York, he covered all the major SU sports and others as a multimedia journalist for the college’s TV station.

Chris was a weekend and weekday sports anchor at WSAW/WZAW-TV in Wausau, Wisconsin. In his tenure there, he won the best sportscast by the Wisconsin Broadcaster’s Association. Williamson reported on the Motown Miracle by Aaron Rodgers and the Packers. He covered local high school sports, the Wisconsin Badgers’ 2015 run to the Final Four and title game just four weeks on the job.
Being a DC native, Chris came from the nation’s capital where he worked as a sports anchor/ feature sports reporter for WUSA9. At WUSA9 he covered the Washington Redskins, the Wizards, the MLB All-Star Game, and the Capitals’ Stanley Cup title run in 2018.
He was also the Mid-Atlantic Scouting Director/On-Air Talent for high school football at SEN.
Williamson enjoys working out, reading, traveling world, and engaging in new adventures. He also cheers hard for his alma mater, Duke basketball, and DC sports.
