Nephew Tommy born Thomas Miles is an American stand up comedian, actor, writer and producer. He currently co-hosts the nationally syndicated Steve Harvey Morning Show during which he frequently makes prank phone calls.
He is also the nephew of comedian Steve Harvey, which is where his stage name comes from. Miles has built a career that runs around radio, television, film and more.
He provides a major role in the morning show, lighting it up with his own cast of colorful characters and zany humor. Thomas also has a loyal following as a stand-up comedian; he served as the exclusive opening act for Luther Vandross for three years.
Miles has been the exclusive host for the Essence Music Festival in New Orleans for the past four years. It draws more than 250,000 fans and features acts such as Beyoncé, Janet Jackson, Alicia Keys, Mary J. Blige, Usher, and Kanye West. In October 2010, he recorded a one-hour special at the famed Motor City Casino in Detroit.
He traveled to more than a dozen military bases in the Middle East with the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff USO Holiday Tour in 2011.
He once again toured with the USO in December 2013. His interaction with the soldiers, both stateside and all around the world, inspired him to establish “Miles of Giving” a non-profit foundation that assists wounded veterans.
