Jenn Brown Biography

Jenn Brown (Jennifer Lynne Brown) is an American television personality, sports broadcaster, entrepreneur, and philanthropist. She is a former Division I Collegiate Athlete for the University of Florida. Brown spent eight years as a reporter and host for ESPN and also sidelined the smash-hit show American Ninja Warrior.

Brown was the first female correspondent for Inside the NFL where she worked for two years. Jenn covers both boxing and MMA.

Brown has served as a reporter for College Game Day, the College World Series, Little League World Series, Summer and Winter X Games, and also the ESPYs.

Brown was a Los Angeles-based Bureau reporter for ESPN contributing interviews and also reports for ESPN’s news-gathering operation for Sports Center, College Game Day and then College Football Live. Jenn co-hosted ESPNU’s college football show Road Trip with Jonathan Drubber.

Brown was born to parents who were Olympic gymnastics coaches, and her mother also founded several gymnastics schools across the country that trained gymnasts to compete in the Olympics. Her younger sister Carrie was killed in a car accident at the age of 13 on August 7, 2000.

She grew up with a passion for sports. Jenn played seven sports at Bishop Moore High School and she broke the record for the most varsity letters by a male or female athlete with 14.

She captained and played five sports in one year (diving, volleyball, basketball, softball and track). Brown was also chosen as one of the top 10 athletes in Central Florida in 1999.

Jenn later attended the University of Florida on an academic scholarship and played four years on the Florida Gators softball team. She captained the team her senior year, and then finishing fifth on the team’s career stolen base list.

Jenn received several academic honors while at the University of Florida which includes being named a two time National Fast pitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Academic All-American, four time SEC Academic Honor Roll, National Society of Collegiate Honors, Verizon Academic All-District, two time academic Dean’s List and a two time academic President’s List.

She graduated summa cum laude and was also planning to attend law school to become a sports agent. She got her big break hosting a travel TV show on HDNet called The Wild Side, which was a remake of the famous show Wild On on E!.

Brown is married to actor Wes Chatham, with whom she has two sons. She resides in Los Angeles, California.
