Andrew Ross Sorkin is an American journalist, author, and financial columnist. He is co-anchor of CNBC’s Squawk Box and financial columnist for The New York Times. Sorkin is the founder and editor of a financial news service, Deal Book published by The New York Times.

Sorkin attended Scarsdale High School. And went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration in 1999.

After graduation, Sorkin began his journalism career as an intern at The New York Times. He quickly rose through the ranks and became a financial reporter for the paper. In 2006, he co-founded Deal Book, a daily financial news service published by The New York Times.
