Jennifer Arnold Biography
Jennifer Arnold is an American neonatologist originally from from Orlando, FL. She is Board Certified in both Pediatric and Neonatal Medicine.
Arnold is the medical director of the Simulation Center at Texas Children’s Hospital and is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics, Division of Neonatology at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX.
She has also been involved in simulation education for close to a decade. Jen has been funded for her simulation educational research through the Laerdal Foundation for Acute Medicine. Before coming to Texas Children’s Hospital, she completed a randomized controlled trial evaluating the effects of a simulation-based training program on pediatric resident neonatal intubation success and competency.

She attended the University of Miami competing her undergraduate degrees in Biology and Psychology. Arnold then moved to Baltimore, MD where she earned her medical degree at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, a graduate of the Class of 2000.
She then attended a Pediatric Residency Program at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. Arnold obtained a Master’s of Science in Medical Education from the University of Pittsburgh during her fellowship in neonatology. Arnold is board certified in both Pediatric and Neonatal Medicine.

Jennifer is married to Bill Klein who is a businessman. Her husband also has skeletal dysplasia. The couple moved from New York City, after Jen completed her pediatric residency and masters of medical education.

Arnold and her husband Klein have two children together. They adopted their first child, a son, Will from Hohhot, China in March 2013. Will Klein also has dwarfism and his adoption was featured on TLC’s The Little Couple season 5.
They adopted their second child, a daughter Zoey in October 15, 2013 from Delhi, India. Zoey also has dwarfism and her adoption was featured on season six of The Little Couple.

Arnold stands at a height of 3 foot 2 inches. She also has a rare type of dwarfism called Spondyloepiphyseal Dysplasia Type Strudwick (which involved more than 30 surgeries).

Arnold features on TLC’s docu-drama, The Little Couple alongside her husband Klein and their children Will and Zoey. The show follows their personal and professional lives.
The show made its debut on 26 May 2009.
Arnold has also appeared on television programs including Oprah, The Today Show, GMA, Dr. OZ, The Doctors, Wendy Williams, Anderson Cooper and CNN among others.
The Little Couple has also proven to be an invaluable method to break down barriers and educate people around the country about people with disabilities.
Jennifer Arnold Cancer
Arnold revealed in December 2013 that she was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer, stage 4 choriocarcinoma. This was due to a non-viable pregnancy she had suffered in September 2013. Jen allowed the cameras to document her struggle and her treatment was featured on season 6.

Jen has undergone various surgeries including her hip replacement surgery which is documented on the fourteenth season of The Little Couple.
